Monthly Giving
Predictable funds help us maintain our programs and services and make solid commitments to new projects. A monthly gift withdrawn from your credit card or bank account will provide us with the ongoing support that we need and provides you with another vehicle for achieving the gift category in which you would like to be recognized.

Gifts of stock
Donating appreciated securities avoids a capital gains tax and provides a tax deduction for the total value of the stock upon transfer. NOTE: Stock donations transferred directly to our broker arrive in our account with no donor information, therefore it is essential that you, or your broker, call or email us 508.548.7276 x 207 or ppeal@penikese.org, with your name and address as well as the type of stock, number of shares, and expected date of transfer. This will insure that your gift is properly credited and acknowledged.

The George Cadwalader Planned Giving Society
Please consider joining this group of caring individuals who have joined in the mission of Penikese Island School to help troubled teens through planned estate gifts, designed to help us now and into the future. Consult with your tax advisor or estate attorney on ways that you can provide support for Penikese. There are many options available such as the use of charitable trusts and other devices or choose one of the simpler methods listed below. Many donors, once they have completed arrangements with their lawyer or financial planner, send a copy of the specific section of their will, or trust document, that details their commitment to Penikese. Although this is not necessary it assists us in our planning and allows us to keep you updated on our mission. Please let us know of your planned gift intentions by mail to:

George Cadwalader Society

Woods Hole, MA 02543
George Cadwalader founded Penikese Island School in 1973. His vision and character created the school’s dominant sense of community and family, and the importance of hard work and bedrock moral values remain the core of Penikese’s philosophy. Protecting and preserving his dream is the work of this society, aptly named after him.
Two simple ways to commit to planned giving
Bequests
Include in your will a provision for the benefit of the Penikese Island School, such as “I hereby give [the remainder/a stipulated amount/a stated percentage of my estate or a specific piece of described property, such as a house] to the Penikese Island School, Inc. of Woods Hole, Massachusetts.”
Life Insurance
Another tool to provide for Penikese is to name Penikese as a beneficiary of any individual or group term life insurance policy. You will get an estate tax deduction for insurance proceeds that pass on to Penikese upon your death. You can gift a new or existing policy as well as designate Penikese as the beneficiary.
