Important News About Your Camp Arrival Day

Four Essential Tasks for Your Camp Arrival Day

1. Sign up for an Arrival Time

We are using a staggered schedule for camper arrivals on Monday mornings at the start of each session to avoid congestion on site.

No more than three families at a time will be scheduled for any 15-minute arrival period.

Please sign-up for a time slot between 9:00 and 10:00am on Monday morning to arrive with your camper at our Shore Office located at 565 Woods Hole Road. Be sure to choose your correct session start date!

2. Select a Menu for Your Camper’s Picnic Lunch

Camp starts on Monday with a walking tour of the scientific institutions in Woods Hole, followed by a picnic lunch at Waterfront Park. After lunch we board the boat for the one-hour trip to Penikese Island.

Bag lunches will be provided by camp, according to the choices you submit for your camper. Please be sure to any specify food allergies.

3. Prepare Camp Arrival Materials

Please have any medications your camper is bringing to camp properly prepared to check-in with our Health Care Supervisor upon arrival at camp. Simple instructions are outlined in the Camper Parent Guide. Click here to go to the 2021 Camper-Parent Guide

Please upload a photo of the camper’s vaccination card to our CampBrain Parent Portal before camp starts, or bring it with you for us to photograph at check-in. Instructions are available in our COVID-19 Announcement.

  • Unvaccinated campers must arrive with evidence of a negative PCR test that has been conducted within 72 hours before camp opens. These test results may take more than a day, so plan to have your camper tested no later than the Thursday or Friday prior to opening day. Suggested providers are listed in our COVID-19 Announcement.

  • Parents of unvaccinated campers should purchase a Binax antigen test kit to bring with them to camp on opening day. Parents will receive instructions for administering the test to their child upon arrival. Suggested providers are listed and further instructions are available in our COVID-19 Announcement.

4. Monday Morning Health Check

On the Monday morning you are bringing your child to camp, please notify us if your camper or anyone in your household is experiencing COVID-29 symptoms. A simple CDC self-check list is posted at our website’s health page: If anyone in the household is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, we request the camper not come to camp, whether vaccinated or not. Please notify us!
