Join us for a unique birding adventure on Penikese Island, a remote wildlife sanctuary at the mouth of Buzzards Bay. In collaboration with BiodiversityWorks and Manomet, each trip features an expert guide to help you spot and identify the diverse bird species that call this island home.
Your journey begins with a scenic one-hour boat ride from Woods Hole along the Elizabeth Islands. Upon arrival, you’ll explore Penikese’s rugged, unspoiled landscape, rich with nesting seabirds, shorebirds, and migratory species.
* Note: This trip on 6/28/25 will depart from Woods Hole and then go to Lake Tashmoo (on Martha's Vineyard) to pick up MV participants and our guide, Bob Schriber. If you are an MV resident, we can pick you up and drop you off in Tashmoo (instead of Woods Hole)!
