Marine Biological Laboratory - Tours & Touch Table (*Campers toured here!)

Sign up for a walking tour of the MBL.  Founded in 1888, MBL is the oldest private marine laboratory in the country.  There is a "touch tank" as part of the tour through the Marine Resources Center.

See local creatures at America's oldest aquarium.  Located a short walk to the end of Water Street.

Eel Pond Drawbridge and walk around "the pond"
Say hi to the bridge tender of the Eel Pond drawbridge.  Enjoy a leisurely stroll around Eel Pond harbor in ~30min.

Waterfront Park
Enjoy the view of Woods Hole passage in this quaint little park just beyond the MBL gift shop and on the way to the Aquarium. There is a statue of Rachel Carson, a marine biologist, writer, and conservationist whose influential book "Silent Spring" and other writings are credited with advancing the global environmental movement.

"Garbage Beach"
This small stretch of beach is located off the Waterfront Park. Perfect for dipping toes in the water.

Taft's Playground

Located on the north side of Eel Pond, this playground is the perfect spot for little siblings to get their wiggles out on the swings and slides or running in the ball field.

The Knob - walking trail in Quissett Harbor

Located two miles north of Woods Hole, this 30min walking trail provides stunning views of Quissett harbor and Buzzards Bay.
